According to Wikipedia - A miracle is an event not explicable by natural or scientific laws. Such an event may be attributed to a supernatural being (especially a deity), magic, a miracle worker, a saint, or a religious leader.
To be honest 'victories' would have been a more suitable word but moods, meds and victories doesn't have the same ring to it that moods, meds and miracles has.
So what do I mean by miracles aka victories?
I mean anything that is a positive thing:-
If I am able to spot a negative thinking pattern and let it go, it's my miracle!
I resist the lure of a doughnut, a miracle!
I go to the pool even though I feel lethargic, a miracle!
I'm about to put someone down but catch myself, a miracle!
I sleep soundly for an extra 10 minutes, a miracle!
So why have I mentioned miracles other than maybe they feel good?
I have found on my road to recovery that noticing the miracles is vital in creating a healthier mindset/ way of thinking.
When you are feeling low or anxious it is easy to get caught up in the never ending dirge of negativity. You talk yourself out of starting something because you tell yourself you'll never finish it. You don't bother being nice to the new member of staff at work because they'll probably be horrible anyway and so on.
Miracle spotting is gives the brain something to focus on and sows the seeds of gratitude.
How many victories can you spot today?
